A Sampson magazine, Tic Toc seems intended on mining the market laid out by American Art Enterprises with its Tip Top publications. [Legendary leg lensman Elmer Batters defined his field of focus with the words, “From the tip of the toes to the top of the hose” and was at one time associated with Tip Top.]

With conscientious consistency, Tic Toc exposes shapely models in stockings, relaxing indoors. The titles of many pictorials restate the theme:

CORNERED IN NYLONS

A SLINKY LATIN IN SILK SEAMS

MOONLIGHTING IN BLACK NYLONS

PINK PETTICOATS AND BLACK NYLONS

ESCAPADE IN BLACK NYLONS

FRENCH FILLED NYLONS

WIND-SWEPT NYLONS

Like its West Coast competitor, nylons and anatomical contours are air-brushed. But every photograph shows legs in hosiery — mostly full-fashioned but some RHT — made taut by an assortment of garter belts.

Lingerie includes panties, a waist-cincher, a slip, gloves, negligee and a frilly skirt with petticoat. Footwear consists mostly of mules with three-inch heels.

This kind of pin-up zine exploits male fascination with women's undies and pictorials set in a boudoir provide an ideal context for feminine display and male fantasy. Several photo series show women on beds and others engage with parlor furniture.

Model moods vary from friendly to amused to pouty to happy to defiant. Pretty posers are named –
