It appears that only two booklets named Model's Directory were published by Selbee Associates. A rare publication, a copy of the first issue recently sold online for $250.

On page 2, a Publisher's Notice announces that content is intended for “the artist, model and physical culture student. It is designed to enable him to further pursue his studies of the human figure – the fundamental basis of all art.” Below this, L. Burtman is listed as president and B. Himmel secretary/treasurer.

Another statement titled Technical Data says that all photographs were taken with a Speed Graphic Camera using Kodak Royal Pan sheet film. The big negatives produced clear images, without graininess or moiré.

Fifteen models are pictured in pictorials that span two to seven pages. Each model is introduced by an index card that provides her measurements, age, interests and city of residence.

About half wear stockings and garter belt. Fishnets, panties, gloves and lingerie add bits of spice to the mix. Most of these shapely ladies appeared in full-sized Burtman magazines of the 1960s.

The digital replica preserves the original page sequence. Tonality of images was adjusted; specks and blemishes were re-touched. All original scans.
