Like Janina in Boy..Maid Servants and Sada in Bizarre Honeymoon, Claire in The Widower's Torment skewers the dignity of her husband and his resident male relatives. After their European honeymoon, Claire and affluent husband Bill return to his spacious home. There, Claire establishes her authority over hubby and son Doug and indoctrinates daughter Lisa about the advantages of being a dominating girlfriend clad in flamboyant attire.

The back cover of the Bizarre Books paperback provides an accurate summary —

His children may not have approved, but Bill Templeton married Claire even if Doug and Lisa didn't give their blessing or consent. Five years a widower, five years a celibate, he could no longer live without the close companionship of a woman.

But Claire was not like his first wife, not by a long shot. She was a proud and haughty she-demon, a creature who craved sadistic excesses, emasculating punishments, disciplinary amusements. Her ultimate goal was not only to gain control of the two men in the family, but to gain control and possession of the Templeton estate, as well.

By subtle and crafty means she began to exercise her brand of mental and physical domination. For Lisa, it was a way of showing the young woman how to make men crawl on their knees for her, how to be stern and overbearing, arrogant and demeaning. For Doug and Bill, Claire chose games of a far more violent and perverse kind, crushing their resistance and then their very sense of self.

Before too long she had come close to destroying their virility, their manhood. But as things turned out, that was all she wanted, for the sins of a second wife went far deeper than bloodied wounds and sadosexual punishments. They went as deep as sanity and then . . . deeper still!

During their honeymoon, Bill tells his sexy bride that he craves female domination. His peculiar needs entwine with Claire's sadistic disposition. In Paris, they buy a whip; in Rome, spike-heeled mules.

At home, Doug spies on Claire whipping his father. The next day in Doug's bedroom, Claire models her new high heels for Doug and directs him to touch them. She tantalizes him with her body, inciting his arousal. When she tears away his blanket and sees his massive erection, she feigns outrage over impropriety and threatens to tell his father. Offering to do anything to avoid that, Doug agrees to a spanking and soon finds himself receiving hand-delivered whacks from his pretty stepmother. Proximity with her lush body excites him. Claire reaps the incestuous fruit of that lusty harvest.

Later that day, Claire explains to her stepdaughter that women must always be in control of their men.

“Imagine, just for one second imagine what it would be like, Lisa, to have your boyfriend eating out of the palm of your hand. Think of that. Think how wonderful it
would feel if instead of allowing yourself to let him hurt you, to let him depress you, you did those very same things to him.

“. . . The way to win a man over is to show him that you’re the stronger one. Listen to me, my dear. All men are little boys at heart. They love to be pampered and mothered and told what to do. Even if they pretend that they’re the ones in control, it’s really a load of horseshit, if you don’t mind my saying so.”

To facilitate Lisa's accession to dominion over boyfriend Scott, Claire lets her borrow leather hot pants, leather vest and high-heeled boots. At the lake, Lisa uses thorny branches to whip Scott to submission and obtain the body worship she decides she deserves.

In this piece, Mr. Black's skillful prose exposes situations, personalities, utensils and attire. Relationships drive action, and his cruel protagonist forces the males in her life toward pain and degradation. Bill endures multiple indignities that are witnessed by his titillated son and daughter. Text describes circumstances, tableaux and a dark palette of victim feelings that includes despair, embarrassment and anguish. Claire is drawn to experience exhilaration, excitement and sexual fulfillment as she re-casts her new family as sexual servants who provide adoration and obedience.

The text has been edited to reduce redundant modifiers. [The publisher required writers to submit manuscripts of a specified size and some scribes used repetitive rhetorical techniques to reach the prescribed page quantity.] A few changes were made to spelling and punctuation.

The text was re-set for the ebook iteration. 39,000 words.

Twelve Bill Ward illustrations embellish the book with pictures that complement the narrative. Most relate to scenes described in the narrative and others depict similar tableaux.

Mr. Ward's sensuous art is optimized on 50 pages. Virtual enlargements of image segments expose figure features, action and fetish elements. This presentation technique reduces the need for zooming and scrolling.

As possible, pictures were placed in the ebook near prose that describes them. As some pictures have no related text, they were located near text that has no corresponding art. Not all scenes depicted in the story are shown in pictures.

Brightness and contrast of images were adjusted. Most appear with clear white backgrounds and lines with smooth edges.

All new scans. Female nudity.

A second ebook shows only the optimized art on 50 pages.
