Sometimes referred to as Ruritanian discipline, these three stories all have common elements. An attractive blond is captured, incarcerated, stripped, bound, whipped and violated.
One online description of another story of this genre uses this language:
“Serial cartoon art . . . sheer, exotic disciplinary delight. Whippings, spankings, breast floggings, and seductions. One of the most popular artwork series.” These rare card sets sell for $75.
Each story is told by narrative text and an illustration on 12 printed cards, measuring approximately 5” x 7”. No publisher is shown on any of the 36 cards, but Candor, Inc., of New York City (successor to Mutrix Publications) appears on similar merchandise. The Candor iteration is likely a re-print, as the art reflects a style that precedes the 1970s by decades. Spellings and vocabulary of the prose suggest British origins.
Castle of the Whip
On holiday, Joan is jostled into the trunk of a large automobile and taken to a remote castle. There, she's stripped and bound by men in hoods. Her punisher appears to be a lithe woman in tight rubber. After prolonged lashing, Joan is released to the stone floor, only to endure multiple abuses by her hermaphroditic captor.

Inspector Soong orders the arrest of Betsy Ann at a South-East Asian airport in connection with his investigation of a gold and jewel smuggling racket. At a big house far from town, she meets him. He orders that she be searched. Police seize a valuable packet of diamonds, destined for London. In the cellar, she's shackled, spread-eagled, and Inspector Soong initiates intimate handling of the helpless beauty. He whips every part of her and uses her for his pleasure.
Jungle Captive
Flying over Africa, Sue becomes lost and lands her plane in an unfamiliar clearing. She follows a trail and encounters a truck. Ordering his men to seize and strip her, Miguel identifies himself as the Vulture, “ . . . a slave dealer and raider of the worst type.” After being bound and gagged, she's driven to a remote locale where she finds a long line of slaves in chains. She's connected to the others and endures a painful march to a stockaded camp. Frightened by vicious cruelties she sees, Sue is locked in a cell. Days later, she's bound to a frame in an open area where Miguel whips and abuses her. In the last panel, she's harnessed as a pony girl.

A frequently used generic term, Ruritania is the name of a country that only exists in fiction and academic exercise. The comics included in this product do not contain the term Ruritanian.
These three stories depict severe brutality, male against female. Pictures and prose describe weals, bruises, bondage and ensuing violations of voluptuous captives. Although the art betrays a primitive quality, there's no ambiguity about cruel nature of extreme, arbitrary punishments. The ebooks provide a good medium for examining these antique tales of sadism.
