Like Mr. Burtman's famous booklet-sized magazine of the 1950s, 1980s Exotique shows shapely models in leather, high heels, stockings, boots and other seductive fashion accessories. The first Exotique could only allude to female domination of men; it's descendant depicts vivid femdom scenarios in photo fiction with candor and nudity.

Attention to details of costume transpose to the new Exotique iteration. In The Education of Diane, Jennifer Jordan instructs a pretty novice in domination techniques. Ms. Jordan dresses her student in gloves, stockings, boots, and leather panties and tightens the laces of her corset.

A picture story fills about 20 of the 48 pages — Alexis: Angel of Pain. Jimmy believes he's picked up an exotic beauty on Hollywood Boulevard. When they arrive at her place, she reveals her kinky agenda. Peeling down to long-sleeved, leather bustier, waist cincher, sheer hosiery and high-heeled sandals, Alexis strips and whips her captive, puts collar and leash to his neck. In some pictures, he wears a leather hood; in others, handcuffs.

Lesbian Leather shows two lovely women who fool around with whips, cuffs and chains. They're in and out of gloves, gauntlets, thigh-high boots, stockings and a leather hood.

Introduced by a Gene Bilbrew illustration, a short story tells about a high school reunion. A few of the coeds Charlie exploited during his high schools days conspire to get revenge. Their plot includes heel-licking.



The digital replica contains all the content of the magazine, including advertising, in the original page sequence. Some page layouts were revised to present pictures without reduction in size.

Most photography appears to have been accomplished in studios. Diffused lighting avoids unpleasant shadows. The tonality of photographs was adjusted.

The second incarnation of Exotique expresses themes that could only be suggested in the original series. Many Jennifer Jordan magazines show transvestites, transsexuals or forced feminization scenes. Except for one helpless male, this issue is all-woman.
