pp-1-pic22 copy.pngAs Leonard Burtman was closing the book on his Exotique in 1959, Irving Klaw was starting a magazine of his own. Unlike most Nutrix booklets, which focused on one story for 60 pages, Pleasure Parade collects an assortment of prose pieces, comics serials and photos in a digest-sized magazine of 92 pages.

Most of the prose is in the form of letters, but they function as fictional narrative. “Letters” about rubber, cross-dressing, discipline, dominant women, women fighting, high heels plus Illustrated fiction.

The prose is illustrated by Eric Stanton, Gene Bilbrew, Adolfo Ruiz, John Willie and at least one other artist. Three superb photos of Betty Page (one in a marvelous corset) remind us how well she models high heels.
