We've previously listed Bizarre Life 1, 2, 8, 9 and Remix, an anthology containing select features from issues 5, 10, 11, 14, 15 and 17. The current offering consists of material that we have not previously presented in any form.

Several original pictorials show attractive models resolving household conflicts while wearing stockings and high heels. The two missing pages from my copy are the first two pages of a photo essay relating to a Drag Ball.

There's lots to read. In letters and snapshots, readers describe their preferences and experiences. Bizarre Life Remix 1 presented “High Heel Tyrant”, Part I from Bizarre Life 5. Bizarre Life 6 has the second and final installment with similar photographs. Both an anonymous short story and what appears to be the first episode of “Miss Marchant's Diary of Discipline” are introduced by tasty Gene Bilbrew illustrations. The essay titled “The Exotic Influence of Clothes” is illustrated with photos of women dressed in leather and rubber.

Bizarre Life was probably the first full-sized, lifestyle magazine, and many esoteric interests are explored in issue 6, including cross-dressing (voluntary and not), dominant females and domestic discipline. Rubber and leather fetish attire as well as corsets, stockings and high-heeled shoes and boots punctuate pictures and prose.

BONUS MATERIAL: To compensate for the two missing pages, a pictorial from 1972 is appended to both versions. Spike heels and taut stockings in a discipline scenario occupy 30 pages in the optimized ebook. The supplement demonstrates the improvement in Mr. Burtman's quality after moving to California.

The magazine is presented in two ebooks. The page-for-page digital replica shows the monochrome layouts with minor modifications to obtain larger pictures. Page sequence has been revised slightly for convenience and continuity. Adjustments to the tonality of photos and retouching of specks provide a viewing experience superior to that of reading the paper pages.

A second ebook presents each photograph and illustration on more than 180 separate, wide ebook pages that fill the screen from top to bottom. Intended to minimize the need for zooming and scrolling, the optimized version sometimes repeats an enlargement of choice details beside the original photograph or on the following page. The optimized format makes the most of the photography in this pioneer publication of esoteric lifestyles.
