After Leonard Burtman discontinued publication of his now legendary Exotique in 1959, he introduced Satana, High Heels, Leg Show, Corporal, Three, Stocking Parade, and others, including Bizarre Life magazine. His 60’s publications had more and larger pages and better photography.
Mr. Burtman didn't always have the cash to pay for the printing of magazine content he developed, and he often sold "publication packages" to other publishers, such as Unique, Health Knowledge, Bilife Publications, Bizincorp and Consolidated. For these, he received a fee and copies, which he, in turn, sold to raise cash for other publishing projects.
This ebook contains all 100+ pages of Bizarre Life, Volume 1, Number 9. It is of interest to Selbee/Burtman fans because its contents comprise no part of any paper anthology. This issue of Bizarre Life focuses more on what the fashionable dominant woman might wear than the dynamics of her relationships. Many of the models are dressed like Emma Peel, drenched in tight leather from head to toe.
One of Mr. Burtman’s most important contributions to the art and history of fetish publishing was his continuous presentation of the works of Eric Stanton and Gene Bilbrew. This issue contains multiple contributions from both of these masters.
Some of the pictorials are described as originating in the UK. One photo set presents a young Terri Martine in a metallic patent outfit. Other features show shapely models in leather dresses, jumpsuits and high-heeled boots.
Photos from readers accompany many letters to the editor. One complete short story begins with a Bilbrew illustration. This issue includes the fifth installment of Miss Marchand’s Diary of Discipline.
The ebook contains every word and photo of the original. Some page layouts were revised to allow enlargement of the the pictures. The .pdf file is 39 mb.
