Femme Mimic Tied by Dominant Woman
This digest-sized book from 1960 is a first-person short story about a man who must dress as a woman to interview the leader of an all-female orchestra. The leader immediately detects the attempted deception and enforces a series of stringent penalties on the hapless reporter. One includes the reshaping of his feet to obtain a more feminine appearance when shod in high heels.
The cover of the original boasts 21 illustrations by Jim, and, while that may be true, a few of them were drawn for some other project. Of those that illustrate the story, Jim does a sensitive job of depicting the penumbras of gender mix. All of his pictures in this book are well-crafted, with dynamic, shapely characters in high heels. The volume also contains a few extraneous photographs.
This is the first t-v ebook we've shown illustrated by Jim. Except for the ads, the ebook contains every word and picture of the original.
T-V in Trouble
Based on a reprint. The original was probably published by Ed Mishkin as one of his Mutrix booklets. The good news here are eight fine Gene Bilbrew illustrations. Mr. Bilbrew is reputed to have been a transvestite, and the delineation of his male~female characters subtly reflects gender duality. The bad news is that the illustrations in the reprint do not necessarily illustrate the story and a few of them are poorly cropped. The eight pictures are collected at the end of the ebook, after the prose.
In the elevator of the office building in which he works, Honey and Lisa ambush Dennis. They force him to dress in sexy feminine apparel and pass a series of three tests. Soon, “Denise” comes to enjoy the make-up, foundation garments, hosiery, leather dresses and high-heeled footwear that have been provided for him. He announces plans to continue a cross-dressed lifestyle after the conclusion of his tenure with his two demanding captors.
The Transvest
Based on a reprint that has a single Bilbrew illustration on the cover, the book contains a story and a few unrelated photographs of female impersonators. In the ebook, the photographs are positioned after the story. An essay titled “The Literature of Transvestism” follows the pictures.
On his first date with Diana, Brad misbehaves badly. When her friend Tillie learns of Brad's offenses, she orchestrates retaliation that involves their friends. The group requires him to present himself in public dressed as a sexy young female. The ladies do such a good job of feminization that re-constituted Brad attracts a lot of attention.
