The Wicked Three
A digest-sized book from 1959, The Wicked Three presents a third-person narrative by Evelyn Adams, who wrote “Recreation Hour” in the Exotique Maid to Please volume. Paula discovers Danny and turns him into a rock and roll sensation. Danny secretly enjoys wearing women's undergarments under his male garb, even while performing on stage. Although Paula encourages Danny's transvestite tendencies, she surreptitiously films him while he's strolling around her backyard in high heels, sheath dress and velvet gloves.

At a rock concert, a mob of fans overwhelms security, and a clothing designer named Elaine rescues Danny. Later that night, they play dress-up in her apartment.

In explicit detail, the prose describes the apparel the three characters wear. The vocabulary frequently refers to silk, satin, velvet, leather, cotton, measured stiletto heels, steel, and nylon. One might observe that the plot of the story works as a pretext to justify the descriptions of exotic shoes, bras, panties, girdles, stockings, gloves, dresses and fetish accessories.

One tasty Gene Bilbrew illustration precedes the story. A familiar Eric Stanton comic panel adorns the cover. About 60 pages.

This Nutrix digest-sized booklet contains letters from female impersonators as well as individuals who enjoy dressing as women at home. Professional entertainers, the female impersonators are skillful at crafting an image of femininity, as shown in their startling photos. While some are dressed as night club performers, others look more like fetish pinups in bras, panties, stockings and heels. Of the domestic cross-dressers, one enjoys the rustle of rubber, while another seems dressed to welcome members of the garden club to afternoon tea. In more than 30 photographs, they show off their frillies.

Many letters refer to the challenges associated with working as a female impersonator and some give advice. Other writers tell about early experiences with women's dress, memorable events, and how they developed their current lifestyle.
