Salome's Slave is offered here in ebook form because a customer requested it. We’re pleased he brought it to our attention. It’s a tale of a gorgeous sadist whose life transcends millennia. She meets a 20th century American, torments him and gives him unimaginable pleasure.
When customers make suggestions, it’s often something they enjoyed when younger but no longer have. If I find the requested book or magazine, and it’s available at a reasonable price, the product turns out to be better than average. Ebooks that were suggested are Bizarre Life, Vol 1, No 8, Custom Made Slaves, Dominant Desires, and Female Mimics 6.
During the 1970s, Eros Publishing Company launched the Bizarre Books series with diagonal Eros Goldstripe ribbons on covers. The series included male domination and female domination novels, often with forced transvestism, usually illustrated by a gifted artist.
When we meet Anne-Marie, she says she hates men, and Burt serves as a compliant canvas on which to express her furious contempt. The 2000-year-old beauty captures and captivates Burt, binds him in the tightest rubber suit and leaves him in darkness.
As the two characters spend time together, the novel morphs into a love story. To prove his submission to her superior intelligence and strength, she insists he dress as a woman for her pleasure. At her secluded jungle estate, she gives Burt-Betty the gift of a handsome slave.
When Anne-Marie describes the famous personae she has been since her Salome dance, Burt is skeptical. Many of her dialogues recall events involving the French Revolution, Joan of Arc, Roman emperors, and the last czar of Russia. She literally reads Burt's mind. When they decide to spend their lives together, she arranges for his immortality.
Episodes alternate between painful whippings and arcane sexual stimulation with expert exploitation of pressure points. Detailed dress-up descriptions involve a corset with artificial breasts, stockings, make-up, tight-fitting latex, boots, hoods, and gold manacles.
Except for advertising, the ebook has all the content of the paperback volume, including the color cover, back cover and 12 ink drawings by the Great Bill Ward. Some of the tasty fetish features of these voluptuous illustrations are repeated, enlarged, on separate pages.
Illustrations depict incidents in the story with the grand female figure of the protagonist. As permitted by story content, page sequence was revised to position each picture close to the prose that describes it.
The text has been completely re-set for the ebook version. Editing changes a small amount of spelling and punctuation and reduces some wordiness.
There has never been a better mechanism for enjoying this rare artifact of 1970s fetish culture.
