THE BAD NEWS
The ebook is based on 200 dpi scans. I was able to correct specks, blemishes, and scratches and reduce unpleasant shadows. The pictures are clear when the ebook pages are viewed at full size, but photos are grainy when magnified. The low resolution files do not contain enough pixels for optimization. The low price reflects the quality of images.

fobppic2.pngTHE GOOD NEWS
We always wanted to see what that fabulous color cover photo introduced, and now we can. The ebook consists of a page-for-page replica of the original magazine. Every photo, cartoon, word and ad is included. When ebook pages are viewed at full size, photos are clear. For some, the ebook will serve as a useful reference when deciding to buy the rare, high-priced original.

Some page layouts have been revised slightly to make better use of space and reduce empty margins. E. Stanton is listed as art director and his illustrations brighten several pages.

Good photography by Lawrence Boyer shows cheerful Miss Betty in various costumes and stages of dishabille. Her attire includes corsets, garter belts, dresses, bras, panties, and assorted lingerie. Hosiery ranges from FF nylons to gartered opera-length stockings to fishnets. She poses her pretty feet and legs in boots, mules, sandals and pumps, several with high heels.

Fluff text opens the volume, followed by Notes from Betty Page's Secret Diary. Three pages of Bettie's Boosters look and read like letters to the editor with photos from fans.
