\BIZARRE-21-Pic-1.jpgBIZARRE, No. 21
In the beginning (1946), there was John (née John A. Coutts) Willie's Bizarre, "a fashion fantasia," the first digest-sized, fetish periodical. Around 1957, Mr. Coutt's sold Bizarre Publishing Company to a good friend, who produced issues 21 through 26.

Two pages of this entirely monochrome issue contain a total of four panels from John Willie's Gwendoline and the Missing Princess comic. Other tasty line art by this master of fetish imagery is sprinkled throughout the 64-page volume.

The new owner initiated a Leg Competition and presents the photo-entries. Letters from readers disclose their interests in high heels, corsets, girdles, spanking, raincoats, stockings and feature films with the best bondage scenes. Mixed in with the text and pictures are short quotes from literary greats George Bernard Shaw, Alexander Pope and Omar Khayyam.
