#265 - Satana, Volume 1, Number 8, Bargain Bin
Satana, Volume 1, Number 8,
Health Knowledge, Inc.
New York, New York
1965
Although Satana magazine was launched by Selbee, Mr. Burtman often sold publication packages to other publishers for a fee and free copies he could sell. Sometimes this was due to not being able to pay for the cost of printing. Thus, many issues of his best known nameplates were published by Unique, Bilife, Consolidated, Bizincorp, and Health Knowledge. The word ACME on the cover refers to the print shop these publishers used.
This issue is a better than average Satana for the proliferation of stockings and garter belts, but, like others, the pictorials don't have the dangerous femdom content that the title suggests. One outstanding photo set is of sexy Dee Barton, first in white pumps with towering heels, then in black patents.
