Dr. Bienvenu's dissertation does not mention Fantastique magazines or Sheba Publishing Company. My bet is that this was an impromptu venture involving the photographer and his associates. It's possible that all of the photos were taken in the same home within a small time frame.

The fetish content of Fantastique 4 makes it a worthy candidate for e-book translation as each of the more than 60 pictures gleams with leather. High-heeled shoes and boots, full-fashioned stockings, long gloves, corselettes, bustiers, garter belts, and fishnets. I can't think of another magazine from 1960 that has a more thorough fetish focus or that more successfully realizes its objectives.

The original photography is good+. Costumes are complete and fit well. The pictures do not show the undesirable shadows that are produced with inept flashbulb photography. We could reasonably infer from the absence dark shadows that the room was lit with flood lights, which would most likely be owned and used by a professional photographer.

Jackie Miller leads the array of fetish dames, but each picture shows but one. They all seem to be getting a kick out their hats, heels, platforms, gloves, furs, lingerie, hosiery and tight undergarments. No text on any page.

I have changed the sizing of images a bit to to make the most of what pixels there are. The e-book may give the impression of an optimized e-book, but that may reflect the composition of the original photographs and pages. The image re-sizing retains all of the original pixels of the models, while cropping out some of the walls, floors and furniture. You could say that the images of models in this ebook are “maximized.” 60+ pages.

The photos of Fantastique 4 make it a fetish gem. If I had the original paper to use for e-book production, it would make a lovely optimized album that I would be proud to sell outside the Bargain Bin.
